2017 Member of the Year Award
On February 8, 2018 Glow Skincare and Spa was awarded the 2017 Member of the Year Award for their giving nature and commitment to the town and village of Canton.
Glow Skincare and Spa was also presented with a New York State Assembly Citation on the occasion of being honored by the Canton Chamber of Commerce for commitment and service to customers, for their outstanding hurricaine relief efforts to the city of Houston, Texas after Hurrican Harvey, for receiving the New York Small Business Development Center Award in 2017 and for the pride the spa brings to the St. Lawrence Business Community.
Carmen Gendebien, former owner of Glow Skincare and Spa, was presented with a Proclamation by NYS Senator Patty Richie honoring her for creating jobs and retail activity in Canton's downtown and for donating her time to help the Greater Canton community and others in need.
2017 Excellence in Small Business Award
Glow Skincare and Spa was awarded the 2017 Excellence in Small Business Award by the NY Small Business Development Center in Canton and the U.S. Small Business Administration. The award ceremony took place in Syracuse, NY on May 5, 2017.
Small businesses are selected for the Excellence Awards based on "their company's longevity, innovation, sales growth, increased employment, ability to overcome adversity or community contributions," SBA said in a prepared statement.
Key4Women 2015 Achieve Award
Carmen Gendebien (former owner) was awarded the Key4Women Achieve award at the annual WISE Symposium at the Carrier Dome in Syracuse on April 21, 2015. She is co-owner of Glow Skincare and Spa. Carmen immigrated with her family to the U.S. when she was just a child, and was raised in New York City.
She founded Jules of Life Foundation with her husband Blake. Jules of Life supports families of children diagnosed with pediatric cancer, and it has become the leading resource for families stricken with pediatric cancer in St. Lawrence County.
